When to go?

Delhi has three main seasons. From October to March the weather is cool and dry, making it a very pleasant time to explore the city on foot. Temperatures begin to rise in April and the hot weather lasts until June, with temperatures soaring upto 45ºC. India experiences its rainy season from July to September which is characterized by frequent downpours and sometimes drizzling droplets.

Go Beyond?

Travelers should go to nearby Cannaught Place, the city center, which is known for its large market place, many restaurants, book stores, and garments, footwear and electronic shops. There is also the famous underground market place, Palika Bazaar, with many garment, music and electronics shops.

Janpath Street in Connaught has many souvenir and handicraft shops.
